Meet Wendy Schmidt

I am a locally born and grown resident who has a strong desire to help this community continue to thrive and grow. I work locally as a sales agronomist and my husband farms/ranches with his dad on a multi-generational farm where we reside and raise our 3 children. Working hand in hand with our local farmers and ranchers is near and dear to my heart as I see firsthand the sacrifice that goes into bringing food from the field to our table. Raising our children to know and understand the importance of what food they eat and where it comes from is of high importance to us. The Grass Roots Institute is the perfect addition to this process as we streamline the field to table process with healthy, locally grown goods. I enjoy being a part of an organization that creates a safe, efficient place for local individuals to share their creations with eager buyers.
